Our Programme started with only 2 trainees in 2001 to an intake of an average of 5 trainees. Through our 3-year training Programme our objective is for the trainee to obtain high competence on SAICA competencies, our Programme also focuses on exposing trainees to different business units which equips trainees with high business acumen, the ability to operate under diverse working environments and innovative thinking.
The Programme gives trainees practical training in financial management, management decision-making and control, accounting and external reporting. You will also gain residual technical competencies in auditing and assurance, internal audit, risk management and taxation. Our rotation plan is a summary of the MTN SA and MTN Group business units which is structured for first and second year trainees. We encourage trainees to drive their own development and structure their rotations to suit their interests and career objectives. As one of our trainees, you'll experience the day-to-day complexities and challenges of a corporate environment in the telecoms industry. Your ability to move across diverse business units will give you holistic insight into how the business operates.
